An increasing body of research highlights the amazing health benefits of the human/dog connection. Here at Hidden Rhythm Acupuncture, we recognize this by having Piper, our therapy Vizsla dog, work with us at the clinic to provide support to patients. She often greets patients at the door with a welcoming "woof", will show them her toys or treats, and be open to hugs. If she feels so inclined, she will also offer her services as a snuggle companion and snuggle with the patient on the table. One she's settled in, the acupuncture treatment can begin. This service is totally dependent on the patient. If patients choose not to interact with Piper, that is perfectly acceptable since our first priority is the health and well-being of our patients.
